"Mrs. E. L. Houska General Mdse." This was Sophia Houska's store, until Alvin and Ruth Surat took over. Sophia and Ed Houska are Ruth Surat's parents.

Given to us by our family friend, Gary Urban.
This is a letter opener from my Grandparents' Alvin and Ruth Surat's general store. Not only I, but many people in and around Bijou Hills, have wonderful memories of the store.
Thank you Gary - this is a treasure we will always cherish.
